Agabi, who is the priest in charge of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ikpeshi, in Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State, was kidnapped along Auchi-Igarra road at about 5:00p.m. Agabi escaped from the kidnappers den in the early hours of Tuesday unhurt. Egielewa also confirmed that no ransom was paid to secure the release of the victim from his abductors. Agabi escaped from the kidnappers when his abductors slept off in the night. He came out of the bush and was able to return home, no ransom was paid​,” Egielewa said.
